Boston Electric Boats is hiring part-time Dock Hands for the 2025 season! If you’re energetic, love being outside, and want to spend your spring, summer, and fall on the water, this could be your perfect gig.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Dock Hands are the heartbeat of the dock. You’ll welcome guests, shift boats, clean and reset for the next group, and make sure every experience feels top-notch. No boating experience? No problem. We’ll train you. What we do need is someone who’s responsible, upbeat, and takes pride in the little details.

WHO WE ARE
Boston Electric Boats is entering its fourth season offering self-captained electric boat rentals and captained charters. We give people a unique and unforgettable way to explore Boston Harbor. Our boats are clean, quiet, and easy to drive—and we’ve built a reputation for delivering a fun, smooth, and professional experience from dock to dock.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Greet and guide guests before each trip
- Help get boats on and off the dock safely
- Clean and reset boats between rentals
- Deliver a quick and friendly training/demo loop
- Keep the dock clean, organized, and welcoming
- Represent the BEB brand with energy and professionalism
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Friendly, outgoing attitude
- Strong attention to detail (cleaning is a big part of the job)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working in fast-paced settings
- Comfort speaking to groups (up to 12 guests at a time)
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- At least 1 year of previous work experience
- Weekend availability is required
BONUS IF YOU HAVE:
- Customer service or hospitality experience
- Experience cleaning or detailing (of anything)
- Experience boating or sailing (but not required!)
