Boston Electric Boats is here to help boaters and non-boaters get out on the water this season and enjoy a taste of private boating in Boston Harbor. So if you don’t have a boat of your own, or yours is “in the shop”, or yours is located somewhere other than Boston, no problem; we have a couple and they’re in the water and ready to cruise…oh and did we mention they’re electric!?
As the city re-opens and we all break out of our pandemic routines, new activities and new adventures will be key to making this summer one to remember! We’re planning to be on the water as much as we possibly can, so come by and join us anytime!
We think the BEST way to experience Boston by water is on a private boat. We’re making private boating more accessible to all residents and visitors of the Boston area. We’re even giving you the option to Be Your Own Captain, bring your own food and drinks, and make the space your own.

Boston Electric Boats has officially launched, the boats are in the water, ready for you and your crew to explore the harbor. Start along the waterfront at India Wharf Marina, our home base, and explore the entire inner harbor catching views of the cityscape from all angles. That backdrop never gets old and if you haven’t experienced it yet, now’s your chance!
But it doesn’t stop there…
You can also head over to catch a view of Encore Boston, you’ll go under the Tobin Bridge, up the Mystic River, and experience a stunning view of the casino from its backside. It has never been easier to explore Boston by boat with your favorite crew.
Whether you have experience behind the wheel or not, these easy-to-drive boats are ready for you to pull off the docks! The pre-programmed navigation routes make it easy for you to see all the best views of Boston. Before you take off, one of our crew members will run your group through a tutorial on all safety precautions, rules of the water and boat operation; we’ll make sure you are comfortable and confident before heading out.
