Pay

$16–$18 per hour plus gratuities

About the Role

Dock Hands are a key part of the Boston Electric Boats experience. You help set the tone from the moment guests arrive and help make sure every trip starts off the right way.

No boating experience is required—we’ll train the right person. What matters most is attitude, attention to detail, work ethic, and the ability to stay calm, friendly, and professional in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Schedule and Availability

  • Weekend availability is required. Our busiest shifts are typically Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and we are primarily looking for team members who can consistently work weekends during the season.
  • Weekday shifts are often afternoon and evening based, depending on bookings and daylight.
  • On weekends, we typically run longer shifts rather than breaking the day into shorter shifts—so this role is best suited for someone who is comfortable working full, active days outdoors.

What You’ll Do

  • Welcome and assist guests when they arrive
  • Help get boats on and off the dock safely
  • Clean, detail, and reset boats between bookings
  • Keep the dock organized, clean, and guest-ready
  • Support the team throughout opening, active rental periods, and closing
  • Represent Boston Electric Boats with professionalism and positive energy

What We’re Looking For

  • Friendly, outgoing, and dependable
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working outdoors and on your feet
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or another fast-paced work environment
  • Strong weekend availability
  • Interest in learning, improving, and taking ownership

Growth Opportunity

For the right person, there is an opportunity to grow into a Lead Dock Hand role. Team members in that position may be trained to take on added responsibility such as guest overviews, demo loops, and opening and closing procedures.

Bonus If You Have

  • Hospitality or customer service experience
  • Cleaning or detailing experience
  • Boating, marina, or watersports experience
  • Experience taking initiative or helping lead a team
